Ruby Room Guest Rooms

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. There’s no elevator, but that shouldn’t stop you from staying here. The rooms are really nice and ours was very clean. Bed was super comfortable. Parking may be the only issue since it’s in an area with some limited free parking and mostly pay-by-the-hour parking. So get there with plenty of time to search for parking if your arrival is on a weekend. They were very accommodating when we needed to change rooms due to my partner’s recent knee surgery. They also offer late checkout which also helped a bunch. My gal and I both agreed we’d definitely stay there again.

The room we stayed in was beautiful, spacious and comfortable! There was a full length mirror in the room, which I was super happy about for fit checks! The location was perfect! We had a 22 minute walk to The Salt Shed for a concert. There was lots of vintage shopping and great food options near by! Parking can be tough, but we got lucky and parked on the side street for free behind the Ruby Rooms! The stairs to the Ruby room are steep and I have knee problems, but it ended up being just fine! (Ruby Rooms are clear about this in their listing). Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!!! You guys rock!

Great stay recently at The Ruby Room! Very easy check in by text. Still felt safe and secure for my entire stay. Prompt feedback via text for any questions I had during my stay. As a woman traveling alone, safety ,security and good communication are things I look for in a booking. I will definitely be a returning customer. Well appointed room and well appointed shared kitchen on the same floor. The location of The Ruby Room is ideal. Close to public transport and within easy walking to lots of shops and restaurants(Wicker Park). 10 out of 10!

It was subzero temperatures outside, and I was weary. Arriving to my comfy, toasty room was such a delight. A clearly extra throw blanket was draped across the bed, which I snuggled with on the lounge chair in the corner. There was a little foot massager I used as well! As a former Chicagoan, this building and its historic details, decor, made me feel soooo at home. The Ukrainian Village, West Town, and Wicker Park, are full of my favorite spots. I will stay here again!!

An absolutely wonderful experience staying here, the room was lovely, clean and warm, the kitchen was spotless, the stairs however did gave you a work out I suggest staying on the 3rd floor. Lol! Maybe a brighter light and new carpet would help you conquer the narrow steps. On a whole this place was perfect right in the middle of all the bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend and stay here again.

Cozy little place right off the historic area. Rooms were quite pleasant nice hot showers. The customer service was outstanding. They went above and beyond to make sure I got in OK as well as helped me reunite with something that I lost there. Definitely would stay again.

We had a great stay while visiting our daughter who just moved to the neighborhood close by. The rooms were spacious, clean and beautiful with the charm of the historic building but clean modern bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and it was super quiet at night despite being so close to many great restaurants . We really appreciated the access to the Keurig, coffee pods and small fridge in the shared kitchenette. Everything was lovely and John communicated perfectly. The stairs are steep as noted, but that is in keeping with the local architecture. Thank you for such a great experience

We stayed at this lovely inn on a whim instead of booking a chain hotel, and we’re so glad we did. The property felt secure and spotless, and the team truly goes above and beyond for their guests. I thought I had lost my earbuds and even sent over the location. Housekeeping immediately went to check, and the front desk followed up as well. That level of care and responsiveness meant so much. 10/10 experience. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Chicago.
